BioAbout me. Hmmm, what can I say about me? I'm 26 years old, a native Jersey Girl who moved down to NC a few years ago. Right now I live with my dad, which I love - I'm a total Daddy's Girl!
I'm a junior at St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, NC. I love my school. I'm a religious studies major/psychology minor, and I'm returning in the spring after taking a little break to deal with a bit of a detour life took me on. I'm very into teaching people about psychological illnesses - I've been dealing with bipolar disorder for a very long time now: hence the detour. Many detours over the past 8 years, in fact - but it's my theory that even though life doesn't always take you where you want to be, sometimes that's where you need to be. Eventually I hope to go to seminary and become a youth minister - I really want to work with kids.
My mom's a music teacher, and I grew up loving music - all kinds!! I love both listening to it and singing or playing the piano. I plan at some point to teach myself guitar, but first I have to get a guitar! I also love theatre, movies, writing stories, scrapbooking, cross stiching, and swimming when I have the time. My other hobby is collecting quotes from all over the place: books, movies, comedians, philosophers, politicians, etc. If you have any favorite quotes you can let me know that too. Thanks!
I like to watch TV - I'm a big fan of Stargate SG-1 and Power Rangers, and I also enjoy Law & Order and CSI. Speaking of Power Rangers, I'm the Secretary and Public Relations rep for MMCorp. We're a non-profit organization in the midst of planning the first and only Power Ranger Convention - Power Morphicon. It's taking place June 22-24, 2007 at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in Los Angeles, CA and it's going to ROCK!!! Check out our website at http://www.powermorphicon.org.
Lastly I should say that I'm happiest when I'm with my family and friends - and I have the greatest of both! My family is wonderful and incredibly supportive, and have been there for me through the best of times and the worst of time. My friends happen to live all over the place (NJ, CA, FL, GA, Canada to name a few) so I have the fun of checking out lots of different locations to see them. Not to mention they're the most awesome friends in the world! However, I'm always open to adding to the group!!
